TERMS OF SALE
Article 1: Reception
The Château reserves its best reception for its clients, receiving them personally and guaranteeing them a pleasant and comfortable stay, as well as offering assistance in exploring the region.
Article 2: Reservations
Reservations may only be considered confirmed if and when they have been confirmed electronically or by telephone from the Château de La Ballue.
If availability has been ascertained, such reservation shall be confirmed after you have received a written confirmation by the Château de La Ballue, and after verification of your credit card and your credit limit.
Article 3: Ways to reserve
On the website:
Our website www.la-ballue.com allows you to reserve online with payment at the Château de La Ballue. After we have validated your information, you will receive an email confirmation containing your reservation number.
We will need your credit card number to guarantee your reservation, but we will not charge your card; the entire sum due will be paid by you at the Château at the end of your stay, except in special circumstances, mentioned in the description of offers on the website www.la-ballue.com, which may mean a partial or total payment of the sum due at the time of your reservation.
By email:
If you wish to reserve by email, the reservation process requires four separate steps:
1. You email us directly requesting a reservation, at chateau@la-ballue.com
2. The Château de La Ballue sends you a list of its availabilities for the time(s) you requested, as well as the room costs.
3. If you wish to confirm your reservation, we will then need your credit card number to guarantee the room(s). (We will not charge your card, you will pay for your stay when you leave).
4. The Château de La Ballue will send you a confirmation of your reservation after verification of the validity of your credit card.
By telephone or on the spot:
You may call the Château de La Ballue at 33/2 99 97 47 86 to make your reservation. We will need your credit card number to guarantee it. We will not charge your credit card at that time, you will pay for your stay when you leave, except in specific circumstances when a deposit may be required. (We will fully inform you if this is the case)
Article 4: Confirmation of your reservation
Once you have reserved on our website, www.la-ballue.com and after we have confirmed availability and verified your credit card, we will send you a confirmation email. We may ask to see this email when you arrive at the Château de La Ballue, please do print a copy.
Article 5: Payment
Payment may be made in cash (in euros) or with a credit card.
We accept the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard and American Express.
The Château de La Ballue does not accept French chèques-vacances.
Article 6: Cancellations or modifications
If the cancellation or modification is made by you:
For a stay of 1-3 nights: 100% of the room cost shall be payable if the cancellation/ modification is made less than 72 hours before the planned arrival date.
For a stay of 4+ nights: 100% of the room cost shall be payable if the cancellation/ modification is made less than 14 days before the planned arrival date.
In case of a no-show at the Château de La Ballue without a timely prior cancellation, 100% of the room cost shall be payable as well as any other services that have been reserved.
In case of a cancellation or modification requested during your stay, the totality of your room cost shall be payable.
Cancellation by the owner:
If before the beginning of the stay, the Château de La Ballue needs to cancel the reservation due to exceptional circumstances, it must inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative, equitable solution. You will of course be reimbursed immediately for any sums paid.
Article 7: Check in time
Rooms at the Château de La Ballue are available as of 2:00 PM.
If your plans mean that you will be arriving after 7:00 PM, you must let the Château de La Ballue know as soon as possible and stay in telephone contact with the Château.
Article 8: Check out time
We ask guests at the Château de La Ballue to check out of their rooms at no later than 12 noon on the day of their departure.
If the room remains occupied beyond 12 noon, the Château has the right to charge for a supplementary night.
Article 9: Room changes
If necessary, the Château de La Ballue reserves the right to exchange the room you have initially reserved for a room of the same or better capacity. In this case, the cost of the room will not change and you will incur no fees whatsoever.
Article 10: Tourist tax
The so-called tourist tax is not included in the price of the rooms and is added to your bill at the end of your stay. All tourist taxes collected by the Château de La Ballue are paid to the community.
Article 11: Pets
Pets (dogs and cats), are allowed if the request to bring them is made at the time the reservation is placed, well in advance of your arrival. If you have not been pre-approved to bring your animal(s), the Château may refuse to house them, and this shall not be considered a breach of contract by the owner. And if you decide to leave, no reimbursement shall be paid.
Article 12: Lifestyle and use of the building
All clients are asked to respect certain agreed-upon lifestyle standards in order to guarantee all clients a peaceful and comfortable stay. The Château is non-smoking and we request that you do not smoke in the rooms. All clients are asked to follow the recommendations of the Château in terms of environmental policy, specifically in terms of its commitment to the European Ecolabel. You agree to keep your room(s) in good condition throughout your stay and to be financially responsible for any damages you may incur. In the same vein, children staying at the Château de La Ballue are considered to be the responsibility of their parents.
Article 13: Acceptance of these terms of sale
These terms of sale may be modified at any time without notice by the Château de La Ballue. Acceptance and intent to respect these terms of sale are assumed as soon as you receive your written confirmation of your reservation.
Article 14: Use of your personal data
In compliance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, you are entitled to access your personal data and to correct it as necessary. The Château de La Ballue will not transmit any information you have communicated to it to any other companies or organisations.
